If I overlook the occasional wet-weather conditions, Autumn would probably be my favourite time of the year. Unfortunately, Australia doesn’t have quite the defined seasonal look with red-gold trees or falling leaves. But the temperature is starting to drop, so it’s time to brush up on those layering skills!

While the fashion palette dims in proportion to temperatures, I love the contrast of bright accessories. I mean, the weather is already dreary; I don’t have to match it! In keeping within a capsule wardrobe, basic pieces can be styled-up with heavier textures like knits, leather and suede.
